The singer was born on November 26 1987 in Santa Monica California in the United States of America. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo Barba and mother Valerie Barba. The family moved to Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was 6 years old. Her high school studies at the age of six in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She was a graduate of Catholic University in New Jersey with a bachelor's degree. She began playing violin at age 4 and she was known as Violin Girl. Because of her talent, she was called by this name. She also taught kids from the area playing the violin. For the sixth season of American Idol, she sang Free in the year 1976, when she was nineteen. However, she was eliminated from the competition after she reached 16th position.
