Shailene Woodley is an American actress and activist. Woodley gained notoriety for her portrayal of Alexandra King in The Descendants. She continued to impress after her acclaimed performance in The Descendants. Shailene managed to make her mark in the world of Hollywood very early throughout her career. This by itself is an impressive feat. She began her career in commercials and TV before moving on to Hollywood movies. She's won numerous acting recognitions for her talents, such as the MTV Movie Awards and People's Choice Awards. Additionally, prestigious awards like those of the BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards are also awarded to her. Shailene is an actress for a long time, however she's also an active environmentalist. She and her mother established the non-profit All it Takes in 2010. As co-founder of All it Takes, she received the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award during the 20th Anniversary Global Green Environmental Awards in 2016.
